This Sunday, I’m going to see Jackie Mason perform at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.

It might be a little late to write this, but the following was posted at his website:

This is my first time back at Tilles since I saw John Tesh in July, and the second time I’ve seen Jackie perform.

I won’t be taking pictures, but I will update this post with a mini-review after I come back from “Jackie Mason: No Holds Barred.”  It should be a good one!

11/9 UPDATE: I had a great time.  It was hilarious, as usual.  And on the way out, I was able to buy a DVD of the show I went to last year (linked above).

In recent weeks, I’ve had so many things to listen to, watch, and read, I feel pressured to review all of them.  On top of that, I haven’t posted anything in two weeks.  So, here is what I’ve been listening to, watching, and reading between April 23 and today:

  • Dennis Miller: The HBO Comedy Specials (DVD)
  • Down to the Bone, “Future Boogie” (CD)

  • Suzy Welch, 10-10-10: 10 Minutes, 10 Months, 10 Years; A Life-Transforming Idea (hardcover book, CD)

I enjoyed all of the above and learned a few things in the process.  What more could you ask for?

Since it’s now spring, any future pre-order posts will fall under “Spring 2009.”  So, here are the CDs I have to look forward to in the days and weeks ahead:

If I pre-order or buy anything else, I’ll post about it.  And of course, I’ll post when an album arrives and again after I’ve heard it.

I also bought “Dennis Miller: The HBO Comedy Specials” on DVD, which was released two weeks ago.  I should be getting that in a day or two.

4/13 UPDATE: “Global Cooling” is now available on Amazon through Group 2 Productions.  Amazon also lists “Rock Steady” as coming out next Tuesday, April 21, rather than May 19.  We’ll see if that holds up.

4/17 UPDATE: It didn’t hold up.  The listed release date is back to May 19.
